XERF

Advanced radiofrequency. Deep tissue heating. Progressive tightening.

XERF is an advanced non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) treatment designed to improve skin laxity, firmness, facial contours and visible signs of ageing without needles or surgery.

Using dual-frequency monopolar radiofrequency technology, XERF delivers controlled thermal energy into targeted tissue layers beneath the skin.

This controlled heating creates a biological response within collagen-rich tissue, supporting collagen contraction, neocollagenesis and progressive tissue remodelling.

Unlike RF microneedling, XERF does not penetrate the skin with needles. The treatment works externally, making it particularly suited to clients seeking skin tightening and firmness with minimal downtime.

WHAT CAN XERF TREAT?

XERF may be recommended for:

• Skin laxity
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
• Softening of the jawline
• Early jowling
• Lower-face laxity
• Neck laxity
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Crepey or ageing skin
• Loss of facial definition
• Overall collagen remodelling and skin rejuvenation

Treatment suitability is determined following assessment of your anatomy, tissue characteristics, degree of laxity and desired outcome.

HOW DOES XERF WORK?

Radiofrequency treatments use electrical energy to generate controlled heat within tissue.

XERF combines 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz monopolar RF frequencies, allowing thermal energy to reach different tissue levels according to the selected treatment mode and clinical objective.

As tissue temperature increases in a controlled manner, existing collagen fibres undergo thermal stimulation while a longer-term wound-healing and remodelling response is initiated.

Over the following weeks and months, this process supports the formation and reorganisation of collagen, progressively improving firmness, elasticity and structural support.

DUAL-FREQUENCY RF TECHNOLOGY

A key feature of XERF is its dual-frequency RF technology.

The combination of 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz radiofrequency allows energy distribution across different tissue depths rather than concentrating treatment solely at the surface.

Treatment can therefore be customised according to the anatomical area, tissue thickness and desired clinical endpoint.

The objective is controlled, uniform heating of the targeted tissue while protecting the skin's surface.

SKIN TIGHTENING & FACIAL DEFINITION

Ageing occurs across multiple layers of the face.

Changes in collagen, elasticity and supporting tissue can gradually contribute to lower-face laxity, jowling and reduced jawline definition.

XERF is designed to create controlled thermal stimulation beneath the skin to support collagen remodelling and improve tissue firmness.

It can be particularly useful for clients beginning to notice softening through the lower face, jawline or neck who want a non-surgical treatment with minimal interruption to daily life.

Results are intended to appear progressive and natural rather than creating an artificial or dramatically altered appearance.

WHAT DOES XERF FEEL LIKE?

During treatment, clients experience repeated pulses of controlled warmth or heat as RF energy is delivered into the tissue.

XERF incorporates integrated cooling technology designed to protect the epidermis and improve comfort while allowing therapeutic heating beneath the skin.

Treatment sensation varies according to the area, energy level and individual sensitivity.

Unlike RF microneedling, there are no needles or skin penetration, and topical anaesthetic is generally not required.

DOWNTIME & RECOVERY

XERF is generally associated with little to no visible downtime.

Immediately following treatment:
The skin may feel warm and appear mildly flushed or pink.

First 24 hours:
Temporary redness, warmth, tenderness or mild swelling may occur.

Following days:
Most clients have no significant visible recovery. Mild tenderness or sensitivity may occasionally persist as the treated tissue settles.

Most clients can return to normal daily activities immediately following treatment.

Individual treatment responses vary.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

XERF results develop progressively.

Some clients may notice an initial improvement in firmness following treatment due to the immediate response of collagen-rich tissue to controlled heating.

The primary biological response, however, occurs gradually as new collagen formation and tissue remodelling continue over the following weeks and months.

Results vary according to age, baseline laxity, tissue characteristics, treatment intensity and individual collagen response.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

The recommended number of treatments depends on the degree of laxity, treatment area, age, previous procedures and desired outcome.

Some clients may benefit from a treatment series, while others may incorporate XERF periodically into a longer-term skin ageing and maintenance plan.

Your treatment frequency will be determined following clinical assessment.

XERF VS RF MICRONEEDLING

Both XERF and RF microneedling use radiofrequency energy, but they deliver it differently.

XERF delivers RF externally through the skin, creating controlled volumetric heating without needles. Its primary focus is non-invasive tightening, firmness and collagen remodelling.

RF Microneedling, such as Potenza, uses needles to physically enter the skin and deliver RF energy at controlled depths. It may be selected when concerns include acne scarring, significant texture, pores and dermal remodelling in addition to firmness.

The appropriate treatment depends on the primary concern, skin characteristics and desired level of intervention.

XERF VS HIFU

XERF and HIFU can both be used for non-surgical tightening but use different forms of energy.

XERF uses radiofrequency to create controlled heating across targeted tissue layers, with a strong focus on firmness, collagen remodelling and skin tightening.

HIFU uses focused ultrasound to create discrete thermal coagulation points at selected depths and may be chosen when the treatment objective is more focused on structural lifting and contouring.

For selected clients, the technologies may be complementary rather than interchangeable.

XERF AT VÉU

At VÉU, XERF is performed using an individualised and anatomically considered approach.

Treatment areas, energy delivery and intensity are selected according to your tissue characteristics, degree of laxity, facial anatomy and desired outcome.

Where appropriate, XERF may also form part of a broader treatment plan incorporating modalities that address structural lifting, skin texture, pigmentation or surface quality at different tissue levels.

Our focus is not on dramatically changing the face. It is on using controlled radiofrequency energy strategically to support firmer tissue, improved definition and progressive collagen remodelling.

Deep RF heating. Progressive collagen remodelling. No needles. Minimal downtime.
