Tixel® is an advanced fractional skin rejuvenation and resurfacing treatment designed to improve fine lines, skin texture, crepiness, enlarged pores and visible signs of ageing.

Unlike laser, radiofrequency or ultrasound devices, Tixel uses Thermo-Mechanical Action (TMA®).

A medical-grade titanium tip containing an array of microscopic pyramids is briefly heated and brought into controlled contact with the skin. This transfers precise thermal energy into microscopic treatment zones, initiating a controlled wound-healing response while leaving surrounding tissue intact.

The resulting regenerative process supports collagen production, dermal remodelling and epidermal renewal, progressively improving the quality and structure of the skin.

WHAT CAN TIXEL TREAT?

Tixel may be recommended for:

• Fine lines and wrinkles
• Crepey or thinning skin
• Uneven skin texture
• Enlarged or visible pores
• Early skin laxity
• Sun-damaged appearance
• Dull or rough skin
• Selected pigmentation concerns, where clinically appropriate
• General skin rejuvenation
• Delicate areas such as the upper and lower eye area

Suitability is determined following assessment of your skin, treatment history and individual concerns.

HOW DOES TIXEL WORK?

Tixel uses a heated titanium tip to create an array of microscopic thermal treatment zones within the skin.

The depth and intensity of the treatment can be adjusted according to the desired clinical endpoint.

More superficial treatments may be selected for general rejuvenation and skin quality, while stronger treatment parameters can create a greater resurfacing and collagen-remodelling response.

Because Tixel transfers heat directly to the skin rather than using a laser beam, Tixel is not a laser treatment.

EYE & PERIORBITAL REJUVENATION

One of the areas where Tixel can be particularly useful is the delicate skin surrounding the eyes.

The periorbital area is often one of the first areas to show fine lines, crepiness and loss of skin quality.

Following appropriate assessment, Tixel may be used to treat areas around the upper and lower eyelids where suitable, stimulating progressive remodelling without traditional laser resurfacing.

The goal is not to change the natural character of the eye area, but to improve the quality, texture and firmness of the skin.

WHAT DOES TIXEL FEEL LIKE?

During treatment, clients typically experience brief sensations of heat as the device contacts the skin.

Treatment intensity and comfort vary according to the area being treated and the parameters selected.

A topical anaesthetic may be used for more intensive treatment protocols where appropriate.

DOWNTIME & RECOVERY

Downtime depends on the treatment intensity and clinical endpoint selected.

For lighter treatments, clients may experience approximately 1–3 days of mild redness and sensitivity.

For stronger fractional resurfacing treatments, we recommend allowing approximately 3–7 days of visible recovery.

First 24–48 hours:
Redness, warmth, mild swelling and a sunburn-like sensation may occur.

Days 2–4:
Tiny microscopic crusts or a fine grid-like pattern may become visible. The skin may feel dry, tight or slightly rough.

Days 3–7:
The microscopic crusting gradually sheds naturally as the skin renews. Mild dryness or residual redness may remain.

The treated skin should not be picked, scrubbed or exfoliated during this process.

More intensive treatments may occasionally require a longer recovery period.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Some improvement in skin texture may become apparent once the initial healing phase has resolved.

However, Tixel is designed to produce progressive tissue remodelling, meaning improvements can continue to develop over the following weeks and months as collagen production and remodelling occur.

Depending on the concern and treatment intensity, a course of treatments may be recommended.

TIXEL VS FRACTIONAL LASER

Both treatments create controlled fractional injury to stimulate skin renewal, but they use different technologies.

Tixel uses direct thermal energy transferred through a heated titanium tip.

Fractional Laser uses laser energy to create microscopic treatment zones within the skin.

The appropriate treatment depends on your skin type, concern, treatment area, desired level of resurfacing and acceptable downtime.

Neither treatment is automatically “better” — they are different clinical tools selected according to the skin being treated.

TIXEL AT VÉU

At VÉU, Tixel is performed using an individualised and clinically considered treatment protocol.

Treatment intensity, pulse duration and treatment area are selected according to your skin characteristics, presenting concern and desired outcome.

Tixel may be performed as a standalone treatment or incorporated into a broader treatment plan where different modalities are required to address texture, ageing, laxity and overall skin quality.

Particular care is taken when treating delicate anatomical areas, including the skin surrounding the eyes.
