SKIN BOOSTERS + EXOSOME AFTERCARE
NCTF 135 HA • BioGlow • BYRYZN Opuluxe V • Salmon DNA / PDRN • ASCE+ SRLV Exosomes
Your skin booster or exosome treatment may have been performed as part of a standalone skin-rejuvenation treatment or incorporated into another professional procedure.
Because of this, your recovery is determined primarily by how your treatment was performed and which procedure it was combined with.
If your practitioner has provided specific instructions that differ from this guide, always follow your personalised instructions first.
TREATMENTS COVERED BY THIS GUIDE
This aftercare guide covers:
NCTF 135 HA
A professional revitalising solution containing hyaluronic acid alongside a complex of vitamins, amino acids, minerals, coenzymes and other skin-supporting ingredients.
BIOGLOW
A professional skin-rejuvenation treatment selected to support hydration, radiance and overall skin quality.
BYRYZN OPULUXE V
A next-generation professional skin booster designed to support hydration, skin quality, elasticity and overall rejuvenation.
SALMON DNA / PDRN
Professional PDRN-based skin-rejuvenation formulations may be selected to support hydration, skin quality and the appearance of healthier, revitalised skin.
ASCE+ SRLV EXOSOMES
A professional topical exosome formulation by ExoCoBio containing extracellular vesicles alongside growth factors, peptides, amino acids and other skin-supporting components.
ASCE+ SRLV is used as a professional topical formulation and is not injected at VÉU.
WHAT CAN SKIN BOOSTERS + EXOSOMES BE COMBINED WITH?
Depending on the specific product, manufacturer instructions, your skin condition and your individual treatment plan, selected boosters may be incorporated into procedures including:
• SkinPen / professional microneedling
• Potenza RF Microneedling
• Secret RF Microneedling
• Tixel
• Fractional Laser Resurfacing
• Selected Pico Laser treatments
• LED light therapy
• Other compatible professional skin-rejuvenation protocols
IMPORTANT
Not every booster or exosome formulation can be used with every treatment.
Your practitioner determines which products and procedures are appropriate to combine.
The fact that one formulation is suitable for microneedling does not automatically mean it is suitable for RF microneedling, laser or Tixel.
When a booster or exosome formulation is combined with another procedure:
THE PROCEDURE DETERMINES YOUR AFTERCARE.
IF YOUR TREATMENT WAS COMBINED WITH MICRONEEDLING
This may include selected treatments involving:
NCTF 135 HA • BioGlow • Opuluxe V • Salmon DNA/PDRN • ASCE+ SRLV
where appropriate for the specific formulation being used.
Typical visible downtime: approximately 2–5 days.
WHAT IS NORMAL?
Following microneedling, you may experience:
• Redness and flushing
• Warmth or a sunburn-like sensation
• Mild swelling
• Tightness
• Tenderness or sensitivity
• Dry or rough-feeling skin
• Mild flaking
• Pinpoint redness
These responses should progressively settle as the skin barrier recovers.
FIRST 24 HOURS
Treat your skin gently.
Avoid unnecessary touching and use only the post-treatment products recommended by your practitioner.
Avoid:
• Makeup
• Strenuous exercise
• Excessive sweating
• Swimming
• Saunas and steam rooms
• Very hot showers
• Active skincare
• Exfoliation
• Direct sun exposure
DAYS 2–5
Redness should progressively settle.
The skin may feel:
• Dry
• Tight
• Slightly rough
• Sensitive
• Lightly flaky
Do not pick, scrub or exfoliate the skin.
Allow the barrier to recover naturally.
IF YOUR TREATMENT WAS COMBINED WITH POTENZA OR SECRET RF
Selected compatible skin boosters may form part of an RF microneedling treatment protocol where appropriate.
If you received:
Potenza → Follow your Potenza RF Aftercare
Secret RF → Follow your Secret RF Aftercare
Typical visible downtime: approximately 2–5 days, although more intensive treatments may require longer.
You may experience:
• Redness
• Warmth
• Swelling
• Tenderness
• Tightness
• Pinpoint marks
• Dryness
• Rough texture
• Tiny crusts
IMPORTANT
Do not pick pinpoint crusting.
Allow it to shed naturally.
Because RF microneedling creates both a mechanical and controlled thermal response, the RF microneedling aftercare takes priority over this general booster guide.
IF YOUR TREATMENT WAS COMBINED WITH TIXEL
Selected compatible topical formulations may be incorporated into an appropriate Tixel treatment protocol.
Follow your complete Tixel Aftercare instructions.
Typical visible downtime can be approximately 2–7 days, depending on treatment intensity.
You may experience:
• Redness
• Warmth
• Mild swelling
• Tightness
• Dryness
• Grid-like treatment marks
• Microscopic crusting
The tiny treatment pattern may become more visible during the first few days.
Do not pick, scrub or exfoliate it.
Allow all microscopic crusting to shed naturally.
IF YOUR TREATMENT WAS COMBINED WITH FRACTIONAL LASER
Selected professional topical formulations may be incorporated into an appropriate post-laser treatment protocol.
If you received Fractional Laser:
FOLLOW YOUR FRACTIONAL LASER AFTERCARE.
This takes priority over the general booster instructions.
Typical visible downtime: approximately 5–10 days, depending on treatment intensity.
You may experience:
• Redness
• Heat
• Swelling
• Tightness
• Bronzing
• Rough texture
• Microscopic crusting
• Flaking or peeling
Do not pick, peel, scrub or exfoliate the treated skin.
Allow the resurfacing process to occur naturally.
IF YOUR TREATMENT WAS COMBINED WITH PICO LASER
Selected compatible topical formulations may be incorporated into certain Pico treatment plans where appropriate.
If you received Pico Laser, follow your Pico Laser Aftercare.
If pigmentation was targeted, treated pigment may temporarily become darker before progressively lightening.
Do not pick or exfoliate darkened pigment.
Strict SPF 50+ and sun protection are particularly important following pigment treatment.
IF YOUR TREATMENT WAS COMBINED WITH LED
LED may be incorporated into selected skin booster and post-procedure treatment plans.
LED itself generally does not add significant visible downtime.
If LED was performed following another procedure — such as microneedling — follow the aftercare instructions for the primary procedure.
IF YOU RECEIVED NCTF 135 HA
Your aftercare depends on how NCTF was incorporated into your treatment.
If performed alongside microneedling, follow the Microneedling Aftercare instructions above.
Keep skincare simple, avoid unnecessary heat and active ingredients during the initial recovery period and maintain appropriate sun protection.
If NCTF was incorporated into another approved professional protocol, follow the aftercare for that procedure.
IF YOU RECEIVED BIOGLOW
Your BioGlow aftercare is determined by the method used during your treatment.
When combined with microneedling, expect approximately 2–5 days of possible redness, warmth, sensitivity, dryness or mild flaking.
Follow the Microneedling Aftercare section above.
If BioGlow was incorporated into another compatible procedure, follow the aftercare instructions for the primary procedure.
IF YOU RECEIVED BYRYZN OPULUXE V
BYRYZN Opuluxe V may be professionally applied topically, including as part of an appropriate skin-needling protocol.
When used with microneedling, follow the Microneedling Aftercare instructions above.
During the initial recovery period:
• Avoid unnecessary touching
• Cleanse gently once advised
• Avoid excessive heat
• Avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating for approximately 24–48 hours
• Avoid unnecessary sun exposure
• Keep skincare simple
• Do not exfoliate
If Opuluxe V was incorporated into another appropriate professional protocol, follow the aftercare for the primary procedure.
IF YOU RECEIVED SALMON DNA / PDRN
Salmon DNA / PDRN formulations are used within professional skin-rejuvenation protocols to support the appearance of hydration, skin quality and revitalisation.
The appropriate use depends on the specific PDRN product and its intended professional application.
If your Salmon DNA/PDRN was incorporated with microneedling:
Follow the Microneedling Aftercare instructions above.
If it was used as part of another compatible procedure:
Follow the aftercare for that procedure.
Do not assume that every Salmon DNA/PDRN product can be used with every device or treatment modality.
IF YOU RECEIVED ASCE+ SRLV EXOSOMES
ASCE+ SRLV is used at VÉU as a professional topical exosome formulation.
Your aftercare is primarily determined by the procedure it accompanied.
WITH MICRONEEDLING
Follow Microneedling Aftercare.
WITH TIXEL
Follow Tixel Aftercare.
WITH FRACTIONAL LASER
Follow Fractional Laser Aftercare.
WITH ANOTHER COMPATIBLE PROFESSIONAL PROCEDURE
Follow the aftercare for the primary procedure.
The more intensive procedure determines the recovery protocol.
CAN I WASH MY FACE?
This depends on the procedure you received.
If your booster was combined with microneedling, RF microneedling, Tixel or Fractional Laser, follow the cleansing timeframe provided for that procedure.
Once cleansing is permitted:
• Wash your hands first
• Use cool to lukewarm water
• Use a gentle cleanser
• Cleanse using fingertips only
• Pat dry gently
Do not scrub or use cleansing brushes.
WHEN CAN I WEAR MAKEUP?
If your booster was combined with standard microneedling, avoid makeup for at least 24 hours, and longer if your skin remains significantly irritated or compromised.
For RF microneedling, Tixel, Fractional Laser or another resurfacing treatment, follow the specific makeup instructions for that procedure.
Never apply makeup to skin that is:
• Open
• Raw
• Weeping
• Significantly crusted
• Significantly irritated
When makeup is resumed, use clean brushes, sponges and applicators.
WHEN CAN I EXERCISE?
Following microneedling-based booster treatments, avoid strenuous exercise and excessive sweating for approximately 24–48 hours.
Avoid:
• Heavy gym sessions
• Running
• Hot yoga
• Saunas
• Steam rooms
• Excessive heat
If your booster was combined with a more intensive procedure, follow the recovery timeframe for that treatment.
WHEN CAN I RETURN TO MY NORMAL SKINCARE?
This depends on the procedure you received.
GENTLE SKINCARE
Gentle cleanser, basic hydration and barrier-supportive moisturisers can generally be resumed according to your primary treatment's recovery protocol.
ACTIVE SKINCARE
Temporarily discontinue:
• Retinol / retinal
• Prescription retinoids
• AHAs
• BHAs
• Glycolic acid
• Lactic acid
• Salicylic acid
• Exfoliating pads
• Benzoyl peroxide
• Physical scrubs
• Strong or acidic vitamin C formulations
• Other potentially irritating corrective products
Following standard microneedling, active skincare is generally withheld for approximately 5–7 days, or until the skin has completely settled.
If your booster was combined with RF Microneedling, Tixel, Fractional Laser or another resurfacing procedure, follow that procedure's timeframe instead.
DO NOT RESTART ACTIVE SKINCARE IF YOUR SKIN IS STILL:
• Red
• Hot
• Significantly sensitive
• Peeling
• Crusted
• Irritated
Once recovered, gradually reintroduce your normal active skincare rather than restarting everything simultaneously.
SUN PROTECTION
Protecting your skin from UV exposure is important following skin booster treatments, particularly when combined with procedures that create controlled inflammation.
Use broad-spectrum SPF 50+ once appropriate for your recovering skin.
Also:
• Avoid unnecessary direct sun exposure
• Wear a hat outdoors
• Seek shade
• Do not intentionally tan
Following pigment-targeting or resurfacing procedures, strict sun protection is especially important to reduce the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.
WHAT SHOULD I USE DURING RECOVERY?
Unless your practitioner has prescribed a specific post-procedure protocol, keep your routine simple.
MORNING
Gentle cleanse/rinse as advised
→ Barrier-supportive hydration/moisturiser
→ SPF 50+
EVENING
Gentle cleanser
→ Barrier-supportive hydration/moisturiser
Do not introduce unnecessary new skincare while your skin is recovering.
WHAT IS NORMAL?
Depending on the procedure performed, you may temporarily experience:
• Redness
• Warmth
• Tightness
• Mild swelling
• Sensitivity
• Dryness
• Mild flaking
If you received RF microneedling, Tixel or Fractional Laser, additional treatment-specific responses such as pinpoint marks, microscopic crusting, grid marks, bronzing or peeling may occur.
Always refer to the specific aftercare page for the procedure you received.
WHEN SHOULD I CONTACT VÉU?
Contact VÉU if you experience:
• Increasing rather than improving pain
• Significant or rapidly increasing swelling
• Unexpected blistering
• Extensive weeping or discharge
• Increasing redness or heat after the expected initial inflammatory period
• Signs of infection
• A significant or rapidly worsening rash
• Unexpected pigmentation changes
• Any reaction that concerns you
When contacting VÉU, send clear photographs in natural lighting and include:
1. The booster/exosome treatment you received
2. The procedure it was combined with
3. The date your treatment was performed
For severe symptoms or a medical emergency, seek urgent medical attention.
THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE
When your skin booster or exosome treatment is combined with another advanced procedure:
FOLLOW THE AFTERCARE FOR THE PRIMARY / MORE INTENSIVE PROCEDURE.
For example:
NCTF + Microneedling → Microneedling Aftercare
BioGlow + Microneedling → Microneedling Aftercare
Opuluxe V + Microneedling → Microneedling Aftercare
Salmon DNA/PDRN + Microneedling → Microneedling Aftercare
Exosomes + Microneedling → Microneedling Aftercare
Compatible Booster + Potenza → Potenza Aftercare
Compatible Booster + Secret RF → Secret RF Aftercare
Compatible Topical Treatment + Tixel → Tixel Aftercare
Compatible Topical Treatment + Fractional Laser → Fractional Laser Aftercare
Compatible Topical Treatment + Pico → Pico Aftercare
Your booster supports your overall treatment plan.
The procedure performed determines how your skin needs to recover.
If you are unsure which aftercare applies to you, contact VÉU before applying additional products or undergoing another treatment.
