Secret RF is an advanced fractional radiofrequency microneedling treatment designed to improve acne scarring, uneven texture, enlarged pores, fine lines and skin laxity.
The treatment combines precisely controlled microneedling with radiofrequency (RF) energy, allowing thermal energy to be delivered directly into targeted layers of the dermis.
This creates two complementary forms of controlled stimulation: mechanical micro-injury from the needles and controlled thermal coagulation from RF energy.
Together, these initiate the skin’s natural wound-healing response and stimulate collagen and elastin production, dermal remodelling and tissue renewal.

HOW DOES SECRET RF WORK?
Secret RF uses an array of fine microneedles that penetrate the skin at a controlled and adjustable depth.
Once positioned within the targeted tissue, radiofrequency energy is delivered through the needles, creating precise zones of controlled thermal coagulation within the dermis.
Because RF energy is delivered below the skin’s surface, treatment can target deeper tissue while limiting unnecessary disruption to the surrounding epidermis.
Needle depth, RF energy and treatment intensity can be adjusted according to the anatomical area, skin thickness, indication and clinical endpoint.
This allows Secret RF to be customised for everything from general skin rejuvenation to more intensive scar and texture remodelling.
ACNE SCAR REMODELLING
Secret RF can be particularly beneficial for appropriate forms of atrophic acne scarring and significant textural irregularity.
The combination of controlled needle penetration and thermal RF stimulation encourages remodelling within areas of irregular or damaged dermal collagen.
Acne scarring is rarely uniform. Different scar types may require different treatment approaches, which is why Secret RF may be performed alone or incorporated into a broader scar-management plan.

SKIN FIRMING & COLLAGEN REMODELLING
In addition to resurfacing texture, Secret RF can be used where loss of firmness and early skin laxity are present.
Controlled thermal stimulation within the dermis initiates collagen contraction and a longer-term remodelling response.
Rather than producing an artificial or dramatic change, results develop progressively as the treated tissue remodels.
WHAT DOES SECRET RF FEEL LIKE?
A topical anaesthetic is generally applied before treatment to improve comfort.
During treatment, clients may experience pressure, vibration, heat and brief prickling sensations as the needles enter the skin and RF energy is delivered.
Treatment sensation varies according to the area, depth and energy required.
Pinpoint bleeding may occur and can be an expected treatment response.
DOWNTIME & RECOVERY
Most clients should allow approximately 2–5 days of visible downtime, although recovery varies according to treatment intensity and individual skin response.
First 24–48 hours:
Redness, warmth and mild-to-moderate swelling are common. The skin may feel similar to a sunburn.
Days 2–3:
Redness and swelling generally begin to settle. The skin may feel dry, tight, sensitive or slightly rough.
Days 3–5:
Mild flaking, dryness or tiny pinpoint crusts may remain as the skin continues to recover.
Following more intensive scar-remodelling treatments, redness or sensitivity may occasionally persist beyond this period.
Clients should avoid picking, exfoliating or disrupting the treated skin while healing.
Individualised post-treatment instructions will be provided.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Secret RF results develop progressively rather than immediately.
Once the initial inflammation has settled, improvements in texture and skin quality may begin to become noticeable over the following weeks.
Collagen and elastin remodelling continues over the following months, meaning the skin may continue to improve well after the treatment itself.
For concerns such as acne scarring, significant texture or laxity, a course of treatments is commonly recommended.
SECRET RF VS TRADITIONAL MICRONEEDLING
Both treatments use controlled microneedling to initiate a wound-healing response, but Secret RF adds another component.
Traditional microneedling creates mechanical micro-injury to stimulate collagen induction.
